How To Integrate MongoHQ with PagerDuty

MongoHQ is a MongoDB-as-a-service hosting platform on AWS, Rackspace, Softlayer, and custom deployments.  A component of MongoHQ is providing alerts for MongoDB events, thus notifying customers for database state changes or performance issues.  MongoHQ will deliver all alerts to PagerDuty, and customers will be notified as per their escalation policies and contact methods.  If you don’t already have a PagerDuty account, you can create a free 30-day fully functional trial here.

If you are having trouble completing the integration please contact us.

In PagerDuty:

  1. Click the Services Tab.

  2. On the right sidebar, click Add New Service tab.
    Create New PagerDuty Service

  3. Enter the name for this service (e.g. “MongoHQ Alerts”), select an escalation policy.

  4. Start typing “MongoHQ” under “Integration Type” to filter your choices.
