Eligibility Guidelines

Please note, we do not offer refunds for fees paid prior to being approved for PagerDuty’s Impact pricing.

To qualify for 5 free Professional licenses and a 40% discount on additional products, you must be a 501(c)(3) organization or other locally recognized nonprofit organization, a social enterprise committed to creating a positive community impact, or B Corp aligned with our objectives. You will need to provide your TechSoup Token ID plus additional documentation verifying your status as specified below.

Ineligible Organizations

  • Religious organizations that evangelize their beliefs
  • Governmental organizations or agencies (federal, state, local)
  • Hospitals, organizations involved with health insurance or group health plans
  • Fraternities and sororities
  • Community credit unions or other mutual organizations
  • Private grant-making, independent, or operating foundations
  • Pregnancy centers
  • Individuals

Non-discrimination Policy

Eligible organizations may not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, political affiliation or beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, union membership or veteran status.

Organizations may not promote a particular religious affiliation, dogma, or doctrine as part of its mission or in exchange for its services (being affiliated with a religious organization will not in itself disqualify).

Local NGO Qualifications

U.S.

501(c)(3) organizations qualified by the Internal Revenue Service or B Corp-certified organizations with a primary purpose of charity, education, or social benefit. Social enterprises (incorporated) that are looking to directly create a positive social impact social outcomes must be a necessary and immediate piece of your company’s product or service.

Proof of status: Organizations must submit an employee identification number (EIN) during the application process and a federal IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt status letter, or proof of B Corp certification.

CANADA

Organizations must be Canadian charities registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA); Canadian federal nonprofits registered with Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED); or Canadian provincial nonprofits registered with their corresponding provinces or territories.

AUSTRALIA

Organizations must be: (1) deductible gift recipients (DGRs) endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) or listed by name in the tax law; (2) charities registered with the Australian Charities and Nonprofits Commission (ACNC); or (3) income tax exempt not‐for‐profit organizations as defined by the ATO. Organizations must be located in Australia or one of the following territories: Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, or Norfolk Island.

JAPAN

Organizations must be: (1) Specified Nonprofit Corporations (NPOs) certified by the city government or prefectural government; (2) Social Welfare Corporations approved by the city government, the prefectural government, and/or the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare; (3) Public Interest Associations and Foundations authorized by the Public Interest Commission; or (4) General Incorporated Associations of nonprofit type pursuant to the Corporation Tax Act.

UNITED KINGDOM

Organizations must be nonprofit or non-governmental organizations with recognized charitable status in their respective location: England and Wales, registered with the UK Charities Commission and/or registered with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as tax exempt; Scotland, registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) and/or registered with HMRC as tax exempt; or Northern Ireland, registered with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland (CCNI) and/or registered with HMRC as tax exempt.
