As SVP, Business Development & Corporate Strategy, Jukka Alanen brings to PagerDuty a long history of success in driving business growth and strategic expansion for both VC-backed start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.
Before arriving at PagerDuty, Jukka served as Vice President of Business Development & Corporate Strategy at Black Duck. Jukka also served as Vice President of Business Development & Strategy for Arxan Technologies, Vice President of Business Development and Alliances for Symantec, and as Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company.
Jukka holds an M.S. in Economics and Business Administration from Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration as well as an M.S. in Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology. He has also completed the Executive Program for Growing Companies at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Chief of Staff
Katherine Almeida is PagerDuty’s Chief of Staff, responsible for partnering closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to ensure key company priorities, core functions, and strategic projects are expertly and seamlessly executed. Previously, Katherine served as Senior Manager Corporate Development & Strategy for Prosper Marketplace and prior to that, drove Financial Planning & Analysis for Quantcast. Katherine began her career in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Katherine is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she received her B.A. in Government.
Senior Vice President of Engineering
Armed with a 20-year history of maximizing value to users through technological innovation, Tim Armandpour is PagerDuty’s SVP of Engineering.
Prior to joining PagerDuty, Tim led product management and engineering teams at Yapstone, a global payment solutions provider. Tim also led the global engineering teams at PayPal that delivered new product experiences across tablets, mobile devices, and the web. He also served as Vice President Engineering at Zong, prior to its acquisition by PayPal. Tim began his career in 1999 as Lead Engineer with Yodlee.
Tim is a graduate of University of California, San Diego, where he received his B.A. in Computer Science. He also holds 4 U.S. Patents.
Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Services
Steven Chung leads customer operations globally for PagerDuty including Sales, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, Support, Professional Services, Education, and Revenue Operations.
Over the last 20 years, Steven has served some of the world’s leading technology companies, such as Symantec and MicroStrategy, to help their customers derive sustainable value by leveraging technology. Prior to his role with PagerDuty, Steven led Demandware’s growth following its IPO as its SVP, Worldwide Sales, until the company was acquired by Salesforce. He began his career as a U.S. Army Officer.
Steven graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Michigan. He also holds an M.B.A. from University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
Senior Vice President Legal, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Throughout her career, Stacey Giamalis has successfully handled a variety of typical and not-so-typical legal and other matters for technology companies in various sectors, including enterprise SaaS and enterprise software. She now serves as PagerDuty’s SVP Legal, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Before joining PagerDuty, Stacey served as the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary for Apigee Corporation (Nasdaq: APIC) and prior to that, was the top legal executive and corporate secretary and served in additional executive roles for Adchemy, Inc., LookSmart, Inc. (Nasdaq: LOOK), QRS Corporation (Nasdaq: QRSI), and CrossWorlds Software (Nasdaq: CWLD).
Stacey has a B.A. from the University of California, Davis, and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall).
Head of People
Driven by a passion to develop the best working environment for diverse global organizations, Zarah Gulamhusein leads PagerDuty’s People organization focused on attracting, retaining, and developing the best talent.
Zarah brings over 17 years of global human resources experience to her role at PagerDuty, and has worked directly with leadership teams from startups to established companies throughout the technology industry. Since her arrival, PagerDuty was selected as one of the Best Places to Work by Inc. Magazine (2018) and Silicon Valley Business Journal (2018, 2019).
Prior to joining PagerDuty, Zarah served as the Senior Director of HRBP and Leadership Development at Glu Mobile, leading a team of HR professionals across the U.S., Canada, India, Russia, and China. Previously, she served as the Director of Human Resources at Advent Software, a company also recognized as a Best Places to Work in the Bay Area, multiple years in a row.
Zarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Honors from Queen’s University in Canada.
Executive Director, Social Impact and Corporate Responsibility
Committed to proving the business case for social impact, Olivia Khalili brings 15 years of experience as a practitioner and thought leader in global social impact. She joined PagerDuty to define and launch the company’s social impact strategy and Pledge 1% commitment.
Before joining PagerDuty, Olivia built Yahoo’s global corporate responsibility program, Yahoo for Good, to mobilize the company's technology and employee talent to positively benefit society. Prior to Yahoo, she worked with Ashoka, creating innovative social impact programs that supported social entrepreneurs and enhanced brand equity for a portfolio of companies that included American Express and Ben & Jerry’s. In 2008, Olivia launched CauseCapitalism.com, an online resource to help businesses grow by embedding social purpose. Her approach stems from cross-sector experience working with the public sector, tech companies and nonprofits, and in international development in Micronesia.
Olivia has a B.A. Cum Laude degree in International Relations and Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania, and currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for GreatNonprofits and CommunityConnect Labs.
General Manager of Growth
Rebecca Kline leads PagerDuty’s Growth business unit, driving online acquisition, sales, retention, and overall growth.
Previously, Rebecca was the Chief Marketing Officer at cybersecurity firm SentinelOne, leading global marketing, brand messaging, channel marketing, and go-to-market strategy. Before SentinelOne, Rebecca was Chief Marketing Officer at Malwarebytes, a cybersecurity firm specializing in business and consumer security, where she led all B2B and B2C marketing.
Rebecca holds an M.B.A. from Brown University.
Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing
As SVP of Product and Marketing, Jonathan Rende brings to PagerDuty over 25 years of experience in the mobile, performance management, and automated software quality industries.
Jonathan has held various product, marketing, and engineering executive roles with Informix, Mercury/HP Software, Appcelerator, and Keynote Systems. Prior to joining PagerDuty, he served as the Chief Product and Engineering Officer at Castlight Health, Inc., where his focus was on delivering and launching to market their next generation predictive analytics platform for enterprises.
Jonathan holds a B.S. in Engineering from University of California, Davis, and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder
Alex Solomon is the CTO and Co-Founder of PagerDuty. He is a passionate advocate for growing the community of PagerDuty practitioners by cultivating and sharing best practices that advance real-time operations.
Alex started PagerDuty in 2009 as founding CEO. He led the company through the first several stages of growth, from inception, product-market fit, multiple rounds of fundraising, building out the core functions of the company, and expansion of the product vision. He has served as a member of the PagerDuty board of directors since 2010.
Prior to PagerDuty, Alex was a software engineer at Amazon, where he built and maintained large-scale systems to help Amazon’s supply chain run efficiently and reliably. Alex graduated from the University of Waterloo with a B.S. in Software Engineering.
Chief Executive Officer
Jennifer Tejada is CEO and Chairperson of PagerDuty. She brings to her role 25 years of unique experience, spanning mass consumer products to disruptive cloud and software solutions. Jennifer has a successful track record in product innovation, optimizing operations and scaling public and private enterprise technology companies.
Prior to her role at PagerDuty, Jennifer was CEO of Keynote Systems, where she led the company to strong, profitable growth before its acquisition by Dynatrace. Before Keynote, Jennifer was Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Mincom, leading its global strategy up to its acquisition by ABB. She has also held senior positions at Procter & Gamble and i2 Technologies.
Jennifer was named one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in SaaS by The SaaS Report in 2017 and Best DevOps Solution Provider Exec by the 2017 DevOps Dozen awards. Along with PagerDuty CTO and co-founder, Alex Solomon, Jennifer was named Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2018 in the Infrastructure & Operations category in Northern California. She was also named to the 2018 Silicon Valley Business Journal/San Francisco Business Times Upstart 50 list.
Jennifer currently serves as a board member of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE: EL). She previously sat on the boards of Puppet, Inc. and oOh Media. Jennifer holds a B.S. from University of Michigan.
Chief Financial Officer
Leading the strategic and internal execution of the company, Howard Wilson serves as CFO at PagerDuty, where he’s responsible for building and leading the finance organization to support the company’s scaling and growth. Previously, he served as PagerDuty’s Chief Commercial Officer responsible for providing ongoing customer value and leading efforts that empowered people and decision-making. Howard brings more than 20 years of software, services, and operational management experience to his role with PagerDuty.
Prior to PagerDuty, Howard oversaw the SaaS business at Dynatrace, the leader in Application Performance Management. He was previously Chief Operating Officer at Keynote Systems, where he was responsible for all customer-facing operations. Howard also served as Senior Vice President of Field Operations at Ventyx, where he was responsible for a broad portfolio of functions, including business planning, sales operations, and recurring revenue operations. Prior to Ventyx, he spent 14 years at Oracle in various senior leadership roles.
Howard holds a B.S. in Information Systems and Psychology from University of South Africa.

From July 2013 to July 2015, Ms. Tejada served as President and Chief Executive Officer at Keynote Systems, Inc., or Keynote Systems, a software company specializing in digital performance analytics and web and mobile testing. Ms. Tejada currently serves as a board member of The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE: EL). She previously sat on the boards of Puppet, Inc. and oOh Media. Jennifer holds a B.S. from University of Michigan.

From July 2002 to June 2017, Mr. Nelson served as Chief Executive Officer at NetSuite Inc., a business management software company that was acquired by Oracle Corporation, a computer technology company, in November 2016. Mr. Nelson holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a M.A. in Anthropology from Stanford University.

Since May 2016, Ms. Gomez has served as Chief Financial Officer at Zendesk, Inc., a global company that builds software for customer service and engagement. From July 2010 to April 2016, Ms. Gomez served in senior finance roles at salesforce.com, inc., including Senior Vice President Go To Market Distribution from July 2015 to April 2016, Vice President Sales and Support and Marketing Finance from June 2011 to June 2015, and Senior Director Marketing and General and Administrative Finance from July 2010 to June 2011. Prior to that, she held finance roles at Visa Inc., a financial services company, and The Charles Schwab Corporation, a brokerage and banking company. Ms. Gomez currently serves on the board of directors of Smartsheet Inc. Ms. Gomez holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. Kurzweil has served on our board of directors since December 2016. Since June 2008, Mr. Kurzweil has been employed by Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, where he has served as a partner since January 2013. Mr. Kurzweil currently serves on the boards of directors of a number of privately held companies including Intercom, Inc., Periscope Data Inc., npm, Inc., and Okera, Inc. Mr. Kurzweil holds an A.B. in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. O’Farrell has served on our board of directors since January 2013. Since June 2010, Mr. O’Farrell has served as a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm. Prior to joining Andreessen Horowitz, Mr. O’Farrell served in various management positions with Silver Spring Networks, Inc., Opsware, Inc., Excite@Home, US WEST Inc., and Telecom Eireann (Ireland). Mr. O’Farrell currently serves on the boards of directors of a number of privately held companies, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF (d/b/a UNICEF USA), and MapLight. Mr. O’Farrell holds a B.E. from the University College Dublin and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

From September 2012 to March 2016, Ms. Murthy served in various roles at American Express Company, a multinational financial services company, including Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Enterprise Growth from January 2015 to March 2016 and Vice President, Technology from September 2012 to January 2015. Ms. Murthy holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.
