    2. From the Manage Contact Lists page, click +Add New Contact List.

    3. In the Add Contact List pop-up, you’ll give your contact list a Name, and then select PagerDuty from the list of contact methods. In the field provided, paste the Integration Key from your PagerDuty service. You can confirm that PagerDuty and HetrixTools are communicating with one another by clicking on the Send test notification button, which will create a test incident. Once you are satisfied that these are working as planned, click Add to create the new Contact List.

Confirm that your test incident was created. If it was, then your integration is set up correctly and future alerts from HetrixTools will trigger PagerDuty incidents. If not, we’d recommend double-checking that your integration key is entered correctly in HetrixTools, then checking the troubleshooting steps outlined in this article from our Knowledge Base.

Will PagerDuty incidents from HetrixTools automatically resolve?

Uptime monitoring alerts from HetrixTools will open PagerDuty incidents based on the monitors that go offline — one per monitored service. When these services come back online, the PagerDuty incidents will be resolved.

Blacklist monitoring alerts from HetrixTools will open new PagerDuty incidents, which will need to be manually resolved.
