Firebase Integration Guide

Firebase provides tools for developing great apps, engaging with your users, and earning more through mobile ads.

You can receive real-time alerts about your app (including stability alerts from Crashlytics) by integrating Firebase with PagerDuty.

Configure PagerDuty

There are two options for integrating with Firebase. Creating a new PagerDuty service, or adding an integration to an existing service.

Option 1: Create a New Service

    1. In the Services menu, select Service Directory
    2. On the Services page, click +New Service
    3. Under Integration Settings, click the Integration Type dropdown and select Firebase. Then click Add Service.
    4. Copy the new Integration Key

Option 2: Add an Integration to an Existing Service

      1. In the Services menu, select Service Directory
      2. Click into the existing Service
      3. Select the Integrations tab
      4. Click +New Integration
      5. Under Integration Type, select Firebase. Then click Add Integration
      6. Copy the new Integration Key

 

Configure Firebase

        1. Open Project Settings for your app
        2. Navigate to the Integrations tab
        3. Click Install on the PagerDuty integration
        4. Enter your Integration key from PagerDuty and click Next
        5. Name your PagerDuty service and click Save
        6. To verify your configuration is working, click Send test alert
        7. Open the PagerDuty Incidents page to check if the test alert was received
