StatusCake Integration Guide

StatusCake offers unlimited website and feature-rich website monitoring. Through the use of StatusCake, you can aggregate your alerts in one handy view and efficiently pipe them into PagerDuty.

In PagerDuty

  1. From the Configuration menu, select Services. 

  2. On your Services page:

    If you are creating a new service for your integration, click +Add New Service.

    If you are adding your integration to an existing service, click the name of the service you want to add the integration to. Then click the Integrations tab and click the +New Integration button.


  3. Select your app from the Integration Type menu and enter an Integration Name.

    If you are creating a new service for your integration, in General Settings, enter a Name for your new service. Then, in Incident Settings, specify the Escalation Policy, Notification Urgency, and Incident Behavior for your new service.

  4. Click the Add Service or Add Integration button to save your new integration. You will be redirected to the Integrations page for your service.

  5. Copy the Integration Key for your new integration: RS_API_pd_3

In StatusCake

  1. Log in to StatusCake and select “Integrations” tab.

  2. Use the drop menu to select the type of service and select “PagerDuty”.

  3. Enter you “PagerDuty Service key” in the “Service key” field, then enter an “Alias” such as “PagerDuty” and click “Add New 3rd Party Notification”.

  4. After you should notice a new “PagerDuty” Account under “Your 3rd Party Accounts”.

  5. Now select the “Create Group” tab, enter “PagerDuty” as the “Group Name” and select “PagerDuty” as a push notification option and click “Save Changes”.

  6. Click on “New Test” to create a test that will utilize the PagerDuty contact we just created. Enter the fields of your choosing but for this example we will select a “Test Name” and “Website URL or IP” that we would like to monitor, Then enter “PagerDuty” as the “Contact Group”.

  7. Congratulations! The integration is complete! You should now be receiving Alerts from StatusCake in PagerDuty.
