Our commitment to the environment and climate

We are dedicated to protecting the planet through responsible environmental stewardship. Companies in the PagerDuty value chain realize business efficiencies by decarbonizing their operations. Given the increasing customer sustainability requirements and PagerDuty’s commitment to our customers, investors, and community stakeholders, we have developed climate targets and are executing on our decarbonization roadmap.

Setting [climate] targets is a meaningful step towards our commitment in FY2022 to support the global need to limit global warming to 1.5 °C to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. We will have to examine each of our key business practices and partnerships to identify ways to work within our ecosystem to decarbonize our business – that is, to separate value creation for our stakeholders and shareholders from the emissions of greenhouse gases resulting from our daily activities.

Science-Based Targets

We have developed climate targets and a decarbonization roadmap aligned with the global 1.5°C pathway of the Paris Agreement, and have had these validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Decarbonization Roadmap

As part of our decarbonization roadmap, we’ve identified the following areas to focus our reduction efforts considering our operations, size and growth rate: Workplace, Third-Party Cloud Services Providers, Other Value-Chain Emissions, Business Travel.

Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventories

Our greenhouse gas inventory has been conducted in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
