AI agents just got smarter thanks to PagerDuty + AWS
We are on the ground with AWS and announcing innovations that give customers more powerful AI agents for incident management. These new and improved integrations bring PagerDuty context into the AWS ecosystem for faster resolution and more connected data across the business. And, with our new competency, we take this a step further by codifying these best practices into our joint customers’ day-to-day operations.
Announced today, here are some of the highlights:
- AWS Digital Resilience Competency: PagerDuty is part of AWS’s inaugural competency for software partners focused on cloud resilience. Learn more about the competency in our latest press release.
- MCP Marketplace listing (forthcoming): PagerDuty’s MCP Server will be easier to discover and deploy alongside Amazon enabled AI tools, helping teams connect assistants and agents without custom integration work. PagerDuty’s MCP repository is located here.
- QuickSuite integration (GA with Early Access enhancements): Joint customers can connect PagerDuty to AWS QuickSuite to access incident context, schedules, and actions through MCP, with new Early Access enhancements that unlock agent-to-agent workflows. Read about our GA capabilities here.
- AI DevOps experiences (forthcoming): Additional MCP and API supported access to PagerDuty Advance will extend PagerDuty context and actions to AWS AI DevOps. To learn more about MCP/API access to PagerDuty Advance, check out our release notes.
Use cases in action
See how each of these new or forthcoming enhancements to PagerDuty’s AWS integration can help you achieve faster incident response. All of these enhancements build upon our partnership with AWS, including our integration between PagerDuty Advance and Amazon Bedrock. This integration delivers measurable outcomes today after launching at last year’s re:Invent. On average, customers using PagerDuty Advance and AWS automate the equivalent of three months of work per year and reduce alert noise by 91 percent. More than 600 organizations are tapping these benefits, and we expect this number to grow with these new enhancements.
MCP Marketplace listing (forthcoming)
AI platform owners can stand up agent connectivity in hours instead of weeks. An architect selects PagerDuty’s MCP Server from the marketplace, authorizes scoped access, and agents immediately discover capabilities such as querying incidents, looking up schedules, and creating or updating incidents. MCP acts as the common language between agents and PagerDuty so teams avoid custom glue code.
QuickSuite integration (GA with Early Access enhancements)
Responders gain an assistant that can source context from the PagerDuty platform and even take actions. In QuickSuite, a user can ask for the current Sev 1 landscape. Through MCP, QuickSuite retrieves timelines, responders, and affected services from PagerDuty. With the Early Access enhancements, the assistant will be able to interact with the PagerDuty SRE agent to grab incident context and history as well as access runbooks. MCP ensures each step is discoverable and permissioned, while Advance APIs keep a full audit trail.
AI DevOps experiences (forthcoming)
Engineers can pull PagerDuty SRE Agent’s context and runbooks into AI DevOps. AI DevOps watches pre prod and prod signals across AWS assets and consults PagerDuty history to recognize patterns that predict incidents. Using MCP to reach PagerDuty services and actions, the agent suggests a mitigation before customers feel the impact.
