Last year at PagerDuty Summit 2018, we officially launched PagerDuty University (PDU), a training program that provides hands-on classroom training to current and prospective customers so they can get the most out of the PagerDuty platform.
Since its debut, PDU has taught hundreds of learners how they can optimize their instances to minimize downtime and improve responders’ quality of on-call life, in addition to providing thought leadership best practices to customers around the globe.
Today, we’re excited to announce that in addition to popular PDU tracks from last year, PDU is back at Summit 2019 with new courses—check out the updates below!
A favorite from last year, Mitigating Business Disruption takes a deep dive into PagerDuty’s internal incident response process, which we’ve iterated on for the past 10 years.
This course is suitable for on-call responders and admins, and is optimal for anyone looking to establish their own incident response process or is involved with creating an incident response process at their organization. In this course, we’ll cover how you can:
One of the largest issues responders face is minimizing the amount of redundant alerts coming through PagerDuty so that they can focus on actionable issues. Managing the Noise presents best practices, along with new features we have been developing, to equip you with different strategies to prevent alert fatigue and provide responders with the right context to speed up incident resolution. This course will cover how to:
This course is optimal for PagerDuty users like admins and managers who have access to create services and integrations within the platform, but may not be as suitable for on-call responders and end users.
This new course focuses on the best practices behind responding to major incidents, which include applying industry strategies to drastically reduce the mean time to resolve incidents involving multiple teams. It covers recommended approaches for preparing for incidents before they occur, optimal practices during an incident, and running effective postmortems once an incident has been resolved.
This course is optimal for on-call responders and admins, as well as for anyone looking to establish their own incident response process or is involved in creating an incident response process at their organization. It is also suitable for attendees who may have not yet started using PagerDuty. Sign up for this course to:
Developed due to popular demand, Mastering Digital Services is a new course that guides you through the entire set-up process for your services. As the PagerDuty platform has evolved over the years, so too have our best practices surrounding enhanced old services and constructing new services.
Every team has a workflow specific to them, from response plays to escalation policies, and this course provides tips on how to best set up your services so you can have a full picture of your infrastructure health. Sign up to learn how to:
