The PagerDuty Operations Cloud platform continues to evolve with powerful capabilities that transform how teams respond to and resolve mission-critical work. By leveraging advanced AI and automation-led approaches, enterprises can proactively address issues before they impact customers, to simultaneously mitigate the risk of operational failures and power growth. This quarter we announced a set of forthcoming agentic and generative AI capabilities, including:

  • AI Agents: Redefine critical operations by freeing your teams from manual toil and igniting growth with forthcoming AI agents. Built to augment, guide, and even autonomously resolve routine work, these AI agents will help you drive efficiency and productivity. PagerDuty’s AI agents include:   
    • Shift Agent: Eliminate scheduling headaches with intelligent on-call conflict resolution that enables seamless responder coverage. The Shift Agent helps you to reduce manual coordination overhead and operating costs. Sign up for early access.
    • SRE Agent: By instantly surfacing patterns and important context like related or past issues, the SRE Agent will guide responders to a faster fix to mitigate the business risk of operational disruptions. Sign up for early access.

   PagerDuty Insights Agent

  • PagerDuty Advance integration with Amazon Q: PagerDuty is the first incident management platform integrating with Amazon Q, a genAI-powered assistant from AWS that connects enterprise data across tools. This integration enables customers to take PagerDuty actions and retrieve key incident data directly from the Amazon Q Business UI, reducing context switching. Sign up for early access.

Operations Center Modernization

Help your teams identify and resolve high-impact incidents faster, auto-remediate issues before they escalate, and reduce overall noise with AI and automation. Building on our mission to streamline mission-critical workflows and reduce operational risks, we’ve introduced enhancements and new features purpose-built for Operations Centers, including: 

  • Automation on Alerts: Address issues at the alert level before they escalate into incidents by triggering automated remediation workflows. This proactive approach helps organizations reduce the total number of incidents by resolving issues earlier in the lifecycle, minimizing customer impact, and allowing experts to focus on strategic initiatives, rather than routine fixes. Generally available for AIOps customers via webhooks and for AIOps + Runbook Automation customers using Automation Actions. Learn more.
  • Operations Console Enhancements: Build more intelligent incident response through streamlined workflows. Now teams can access key information directly from the side panel, take immediate action on alerts, and enrich their workflows with custom fields. With improved filtering for faster data navigation, central teams have a direct view of incoming incidents and the systems’ operational health, enabling them to minimize the overall business impact and protect customer experiences. Operations Console

  • External Data Variables: Build more dynamic orchestrations using variables that leverage data from incidents and external systems via API to cover a more diverse set of automation use cases. Teams can now initiate actions based on existing automation outputs, such as suppressing unnecessary incidents when the diagnostics results indicate the issue has been resolved, reducing the total cost of operations and freeing up time for value-added work.   • Noise Reduction Home Page: Access a high-level overview of services and their alert grouping configurations in one place for a seamless setup. This enables users to implement noise reduction recommendations while easily viewing, setting up, and editing Alert Grouping and Auto-pause Incident Notification settings. This centralized view accelerates team onboarding, freeing up time and resources for building better experiences. Generally available for AIOps customers. Learn more.

Incident Management Transformation

The PagerDuty Operations Cloud platform transforms incident management by helping teams proactively manage incidents, automate critical work, and build resilient operations to strengthen customer trust. New enhancements to our incident management capabilities include:

  • Intune Support for Mobile: Enhance PagerDuty Mobile app security with Microsoft Intune’s Mobile App Management (MAM) capabilities. Intune support enables stricter policy enforcement and improved compliance, controlled data sharing between managed/unmanaged apps, remote wipe capabilities, and data protection through app-level encryption. This helps protect revenue and sensitive data by reducing data breach risks. Generally available for Incident Management customers on the Enterprise plan. Learn more

Intune Support for Mobile

  • Service Reassignment: Move incidents between services directly from the incident detail page with minimal clicks, speeding up incident resolution and reducing the risk and cost of operational failures. Available for all Incident Management customers. 
  • Voice Notifications in Japanese and Canadian French: Receive platform notifications and responder requests via phone calls in Japanese and Canadian French, enabling better global team coordination. Generally available for all Incident Management customers. Learn more
  • Service Custom Fields: Achieve seamless operational workflows across systems, improve incident context, and accelerate resolution by connecting tools across your incident management tech stack with standardized service metadata. Automatically populate important service information such as criticality, business and technical owners, and configuration details using the Service Custom Fields API and Terraform. Now in Early Access for Incident Management customers on Business or Enterprise plans. 

Automation Standardization

PagerDuty is revolutionizing how enterprises scale automation, transforming disconnected automation tools into a standardized, intelligent platform that accelerates critical operations across your organizational landscape. With new enhancements, teams can work faster while leveraging intelligent automation to boost efficiency and enhance agility. We’re committed to expanding our template and prompt library with more automation-focused entries, which include:  

  • FinOps (Cloud Cost Management): FinOps approaches help organizations align cloud spending with business goals through cost optimization and cross-team collaboration. We have added new automation templates for FinOps that help teams resize EC2 instances, remove unused Lambda functions, clean up VPCs, and manage Elastic IPs  – ensuring optimal cloud spend while improving operational efficiency.
  • Storage Management: Organizations need efficient storage management to optimize their digital infrastructure’s resource utilization and maintenance.We’ve introduced new automation templates for Storage Management that help teams identify resource-heavy files, automate S3 bucket creation, manage system logs, and remove unused assets – ensuring optimal system performance while reducing operational costs.
