Get ready for AWS re:Invent 2016
AWS re:Invent 2016 is fast approaching and we couldn’t be more excited! Without a doubt, AWS has become the cloud computing vendor of choice, and as the popularity of AWS grows, so too does the popularity of re:Invent. As you get started trying to figure out how to navigate through the largest gathering of the global Amazon Web Services community, we’d like to share some tips and tricks to guide you through it.
Determine The Session You Can’t Miss
With over 400 sessions being delivered at re:Invent, it can be a bit overwhelming. With all the hustle and bustle of the week, chances are you’ll end up in sessions you didn’t necessarily plan for or miss sessions you had your eye on. Create a “must-attend” list early on and avoid missing out on sessions you want to attend. Don’t forget, sessions are broken out by level – Introductory (200), Advanced (300) and Expert (400).

Master the Tradeshow Floor
The tradeshow floor at re:Invent is bigger than ever. The energy on the floor is bound to be lively and giveaways will be coming from all directions. Be sure to grab a few maps or download the AWS re:Invent app for easy navigation. Don’t forget to swing by and visit the PagerDuty team at Booth 911 (across from New Relic and SignalFx ). We’ll be sharing some exciting new capabilities, so stop by for a demo or schedule a time to meet with one of our technical specialists on-site to learn more!
Have Some Fun
AWS re:Invent always has some fun quirky after-hours experiences — the wing eating contest, Harley Ride, re:Play party, and new this year, a re:Invent 5k. They’re also hosting another Pub Crawl, which PagerDuty will again be a part of! Be sure to join PagerDuty, Datadog and Rapid7 for our leg of the Pub Crawl at AquaKnox.
